Education & Access
Educational Programming
We truly believe that opera can build human connection, empathy, excellence, and transformation in anyone who experiences it. We recognize the historic barriers of access, equity, and diversity which still prevent many from participating in the art form. With these guiding principals, Festival Opera is committed to breaking down walls of access by cultivating educational, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities for singers and other creatives to add their voices to the operatic art form. We continue to build partnerships with local educational institutions in the East Bay, and beyond, to provide access and a pipeline for students to get involved with opera on both sides of the curtain - as audience members, and in production behind the scenes.
